Praying is one of the most important pillars of Islamic belief. It allows you to recall and thank God for the many blessings that he has given you. The health of your home with family members, friends food, and a pleasant living.
For many Muslims prayer is considered to be something that provides nourishment. The same way, our body requires nutrition several times per day to stay well-nourished and strong. Muslims pray as a way of spiritual nutrition.
Before they can pray, Muslims have to physically cleanse themselves with water. They clean their hands, arm facial, faces, and parts of their body. This cleansing also acts as an opportunity to wash the sins off. You should wash your mouth in case it was something you shouldn't have, wash your eyes if you've seen something that you shouldn't and your feet if you've wandered into a space where you shouldn't be and you can go on and on.
The prayer is composed of 'cycles' called rakaat. Morning prayers, for instance, are the shortest ones that have only two rakaat. the sunset prayers are comprised out of three rakaat as the noon, afternoon and evening prayers are made up comprising four rakaat. Every prayer cycle is comprised of specific movements and recitations.
Prayer is the most regular activity in the life of a Muslim and is one of the most significant pillars. When we fast only for one month in the year as we do Zakah once in the year, Hajj is only required every once in a lifetime, however praying is a routine act that should be done five times every day.
It gives discipline and structure to the day . It also is the most effective method to meditate in our busy life that we lead.
